Our Teaching Strategy

One Objective:  From Tee to Green

Phase 1 - Off The Tee Box (OTT)

Positional Setup / Swing Mechanics - 4 to 8 weeks

The first phase of your training will include proper setup and stance, ball addressing, and basic swing mechanics. Phase 1 is centered around proper technique , swing motion and follow through. All your training sessions are video recorded which allows us to expedite the correction of common beginner errors. Phase 1 is completed when students demonstrate the ability to consistently strike the ball and provide the average distance of the assigned club.

At this phase the student is also introduced to the rules and etiquette of golf to ensure proper play.

Phase 2 - Fairway Game Management (FGM)

Stroke/Swing Mechanics - Club Selection  - Pace
6 to 12 weeks

Phase 2 concentrates on stroke and swing mechanics. In addition this phase covers club selection and distance control.

Situational play (sand bunker, rough, trees) is also an aspect of this phase. The student is educated in proper technique to adjust their game to challenges within the course.

Phase 2 is completed when the student is able to consistently demonstrate the ability to reach the putting green within 1 stroke of the Greens in Regulation (GIR). An example of this would be reaching a PAR 4 putting green in 3 strokes versus the standard 2.

Phase 3 - Short Game (SG)

Wedge Usage - Chipping - Putting

Phase 3 concentrates on the probably the most important area of golf, the short game. Here students learn the use of wedges, understand the mechanics of chipping, and realize the importance of "reading" the green on every putt. Phase 3 is essential for overall shot and score reduction. Our instruction emphasizes the "approach shot" as being the most important aspect of your game, couple with putting stroke mechanics and pace.

Our goal at Phase 3 is to have student comfortable enough to play a full round of golf without the worry of slowing down the pace due to lack of talent or instructions.
